The Slayer's Mecha Dragon, Serrat, is a colossal and ferocious force, unmatched in both size and power.
Background
Defying the will of the Order of Aerum, Serrat recognized only the Slayer as his Alpha, forging a tempestuous bond. Gravely injured by Hell's legions during the Battle of Black Pyres, Serrat was saved by the Slayer’s rare act of compassion — a glimpse of humanity from the enigmatic warrior. Following Commander Thira's directive, the Sentinels augmented Serrat with advanced engineering, fusing his primal ferocity with mechanical precision.
Personality
Serrat as an unmatched example of Wintherin for both size and power is notably very aggressive to most other living things as shown when snapping at other Wintherin within the Sentinels aviary for drawing too close. However Serrat shows clear deference and friendliness to the Doom Slayer specifically as a result of history along with compatible personality. Their bond as rider and mount is strong enough that Serrat will attempt to assist without specific prompt or call if the Doom Slayer appears to be in serious danger.
Serrat also displays intelligence beyond that of an average animal, recognizing such instances of danger to his Alpha, using tactics such as the "kiss of death" or neck snap on larger foes, and reacting to the Doom Slayer's behavior in a manner similar to that of a canine when accepting affection or loose demon parts as snacks. This intelligence allows for mutual affection between the Doom Slayer and Serrat.
Attributes
Serrat is the largest Wintherin shown on screen among those in the Sentinels aviary, with noticeably greater muscle mass all around then the other examples.
Having been severely beaten to point of near death in combat before being saved by the Slayer and rebuilt Serrat is biomechanical. Serrat has been fitted with either augmented or replaced forelegs, wings, and a helm that appears to be permanently attached to his skull repairing the damage done before the Slayer became involved. Despite this Serrat appears to have one eye rather then two as one side of the helm is damaged and does not have the glowing eye light seen on the other side.
Serrat's wings emit arcs of electricity when landing either as a result of their nature as a projection of plasma or a mechanism for assuring a clear landing site. Additionally due to the integration of jet propulsion Serrat is able to fly fast enough to keep up with Hell's raiding ships and cross vast distances very quickly.
Serrat's claws are sharp enough to maintain a grip on a Titan class demon while fighting as well as to force it's jaw open while performing the "kiss of death" making them capable of rending or piercing flesh efficiently.
As with all Wintherin, Serrat is capable of breathing fire which emerges as a bright red-orange and is capable of destroying Demonic body tissue. In particular Serrat uses this to perform the "kiss of death" breathing fire down the throats of large demons, incinerating them from within.
As part of the augmentations performed to resort him to health Serrat has a mounted gun emplaced between his wings usable by a rider. This mounted weapon fires conventional munitions on it's own, however Serrat is also capable of absorbing Demonic energies which are converted into plasma rounds so long as the attack being absorbed from does not land a direct hit.
Trivia
